Campbellite

Campbellite is a mixture that is rare of minerals which may add Azurite, Calcite, Chrysocolla, Copper, Cuprite, Gibbsite, Malachite, Pyrite, Silver, Tenorite, Quartz and possibly other people. The material is from the Campbell Mine at Bisbee, Arizona that was closed in 1975. There isn’t any new material available and anything available now is from old collections as the Campbell Mine was the source that is only. Some pieces contain more red from Cuprite or more green from Chrysocolla while others are dominated by shinning Copper. Campbellite cabochons can be obtained and are very attractive. Campbellite is similar to many other mixture type gems such as Mohawkite and Pulsite.
