Chromian Enstatite
Chromian Enstatite is a chromium-bearing number of Enstatite that is colored green that is deep the presence of Chromium and Iron. There was clearly a find that is small of material from near Makatu, Taita Hills in southern Kenya that occurred in belated 2010 and was recently profiled in GIA’s Gems & Gemology – Spring 2012 edition. Enstatite is typically understood for dark and muddy brown gems however the fine green color of this chromium-bearing that is unique is unlike any other Enstatite colors and quite beautiful in comparison to many other green gem varieties.
