Manganoan Adamite
Manganoan Adamite, also referred to as Manganadamite, is a pink to variety that is purple of containing some manganese. This manganese gives Manganoan Adamite its distinct red to color that is purple. Adamite is amongst the fluorescent minerals which can be best but Manganoan Adamite doesn’t fluoresce since the manganese kills the fluorescence. This will be not really a test that is foolproof some Adamites that contain little or no manganese do not fluoresce either. Nearly all other properties of Manganoan Adamite are identical to Adamite except typical color, fluorescence and density. There’s a variety that is green of called Cuprian Adamite, or Cuproadamite, that is colored by its copper content.
